Oliver's bio

Oliver Duguid is a chartered landscape architect with broad UK and international experience across award-winning residential, leisure, and commercial projects. His work champions biophilic design, sustainable placemaking, and the integration of architecture and nature.

Based in London, Oliver has led several high-profile urban realm and office retrofit projects. At Sheldon Square, he delivered a transformative retrofit featuring prefabricated planted balconies, boosting biodiversity and wellbeing through vertical greening. He also oversaw the revitalisation of the  Paddington Central Amphitheatre, creating a more accessible and socially inclusive public space. Other significant projects include the RIBA Stirling Prize-shortlisted NEO Bankside, the civic landscape for New Scotland Yard, and 11 Belgrave Road, the UK’s first project to receive NABERS UK 5.5 star energy efficiency rating.

He also delivered landscape design for the acclaimed Macallan Distillery and Visitor Centre in Scotland, which features Europe's largest meadow roof.

Internationally, Oliver has delivered a range of complex and culturally responsive landscapes. In Hong Kong, he led the design of The Henderson Art Garden, a sculptural, immersive landscape integrating planting and public art. In China, he shaped the dramatic, ecologically choreographed grounds of the Shenzhen Science and Technology Museum. He has also worked on large-scale commercial developments including 30 Bay Street in Toronto and ATRIO, a twin-tower project in Bogotá, Colombia.
