The Henderson Art Garden is a sculptural green civic space in Hong Kong’s Central Business District, set at the base of Zaha Hadid Architects’ newest landmark tower, The Henderson.
The Henderson Art Garden offers a rare fusion of art, landscape and architecture in the heart of Hong Kong. Its flowing geometry mirrors the sinuous curves of the adjacent tower, extending the building’s sculptural language into a living landscape of movement, texture and reflection.
Designed by Gillespies, the garden features a series of playful clipped hedges, shaped by topiary artist Darren Lerigo, whose organic forms reinterpret the fluid silhouette of the Zaha Hadid-designed tower for the Henderson Group.
Carefully composed seating areas are nestled among richly layered planting, creating tranquil shaded spots where visitors can pause and immerse themselves in the interplay of light and shadow.
The Henderson Art Garden showcases a curated collection of site-specific installations by international and local artists, including “Breathing Tree” by Ned Kahn, “Hypnotic Dream” by Philipp Frank and “The Fractal Forest” by STICKYLINE x Leanna Lee.
