Tom Walker joins expert panel to discuss ‘Building a 2030 City’

On Tuesday 5 June, Gillespies’ Partner Tom Walker will be joining a panel of leading experts from the regeneration and design industry at the Place North West and U+I ‘Building a 2030 City’ event.

The event, set in the Fairfield Social Club within the Mayfield arches, will explore the issues currently facing UK cities, with critical thinking on how to shape the next era of city growth, through innovative design, strong communities and 21st-century connectivity.

The panel will engage with UK entrepreneurs and policy-makers, using developer U+I’s plans for the 24-acre Mayfield site as a platform for wider debate, examining how place-making and a strong sense of shared public-private purpose can deliver economic and social benefits for cities.
