LSE Global Centre for Social Sciences provides a state-of-the-art flexible and highly sustainable academic and teaching building for the 21st Century. The design goes further by placing a public square at the heart of the building.
Designed by renowned architects Roger Stirk Harbour + Partners (RSHP), the new development will replace four existing central campus buildings, and responds to the initial brief which called for world‑class architecture to match LSE’s international academic reputation. The design goes further by placing a public square — designed by Gillespies — at the heart of the campus, creating a new focal point and improving connectivity and wayfinding throughout the site.
