Fulham Riverside is a pioneering residential-led scheme providing 475 new homes on the North Bank of the River Thames in London. Gillespies’ contemporary landscape masterplan and public realm will provide sculpted landscaped gardens, new open spaces and a rejuvenated waterfront boulevard.
Gillespies are working alongside Harper Downie Architects to deliver a new public realm for a vibrant new riverside community, creating new riverside homes along with offices, shops and restaurants and new public squares that take advantage of its riverside setting.
To complement the location and the wide range of uses on site, Gillespies has designed a number of distinct spaces that respond to the schemes residential, office and retail context. These include semi‑private courtyards, extensive roof gardens, garden spaces, piazzas and publicly‑accessible streetscapes.
The site forms part of the Thames Riverside Walk and this connectivity is key in ensuring the development is active and well‑used. Strong legible lines of public permeability connect the river to the wider community and bring this stretch of the Thames back to the public.
"The proposal represents a high-quality development which would make a positive contribution to the riverside, providing a vibrant new urban quarter in this part of the Borough"
