A high-quality public realm for 22 Hanover Square, a new hotel and residential development in Mayfair, London. The new development will replace a 1920s office block in Mayfair with a mixed-use apartment and hotel scheme comprising 41 flats, a 51‑bedroom 5‑star hotel, a restaurant and a luxury spa.
Gillespies has been appointed to deliver the new wider public realm. The design seeks to deliver a high-quality public realm setting for the new development which deals sensitively and elegantly with the functional aspects of hotel servicing and guest arrival experience.
The public realm proposals also take into consideration the proposed wider public realm improvements that will be undertaken to renew Hanover Square and the introduction of a new Crossrail Station.
