Xin's bio
Since joining Gillespies as a Graduate Landscape Architect in 2019, Xin has played a key role in delivering innovative landscape architecture and public realm design across major leisure and residential developments in the UK, Asia and the Middle East.
Her portfolio includes landscape design for the new Chinese Embassy in London, large scale ecological masterplanning for sustainable tourism destinations in Saudi Arabia, and high end residential landscape architecture for Oriental One, a luxury mixed use development in Shanghai. Most recently, she has been leading the delivery of a transformative waterfront regeneration and public realm strategy for Riga's historic Port, repositioning the area as a vibrant, mixed use urban district in Riga, Latvia.
Prior to joining the Gillespies' London studio, Xin worked with leading design practices in both London and Beijing, building expertise across concept design, detailed design, planning submissions and project delivery stages.
Xin holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Edinburgh, where her research focused on urbanism, green infrastructure and strengthening the relationship between cities and nature. She also earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Beijing Forestry University.
