Gillespies is a founding signatory on the Landscape Architects Declare campaign, a call-to-arms on the twin crises of climate breakdown and biodiversity. We have made a pledge to work alongside our industry counterparts to share knowledge, embed sustainable industry standards into our projects and day-to-day practices, and commit to reducing and offsetting our carbon footprint.

We have been a registered practice with the Landscape Institute since its formation in 1962. Gillespies is one of the largest independent UK practices and employs over 140 landscape and urban designers. The practice also supports the Landscape Institute's apprenticeship Levy.

Gillespies is regularly audited as part of our verified Achilles UVDB (Utilities Vendor Database Service) registration.

Achilles is the utility industry pre-qualification system, which gives clients an independent assurance of our capabilities and good governance. The comprehensive audit covers health and safety, environment, quality, and corporate and social responsibility.

Gillespies is accredited under the Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS). The scheme aims to improve health and safety standards across the UK's construction industry. The accreditation demonstrates our continued commitment to health and safety.

Gillespies is ISO 9001:2015 certified - we have developed, implemented and continue to maintain a quality management system (QMS) that conforms with the ISO international standard.

The practice operates under a strict quality assurance policy to make sure that we’re striving for quality excellence in every area of our business.
