Yingming's bio
Yingming Hu is a talented and creative Landscape Architect based in Gillespies’ Leeds studio, with over five years of professional experience in landscape architecture across both the UK and China. Her international background brings a diverse design perspective and refined artistic sensibility to a wide range of landscape and public realm projects.
Recognised for her creative design thinking and keen eye for detail, Yingming plays a key role in the design and development of public open spaces, streetscapes and therapeutic landscapes. Her passion lies in creating people-focused, socially responsive environments that promote well-being, biodiversity, and inclusive placemaking.
Yingming also has extensive experience in large-scale housing refurbishments and external works, delivering technical packages and visualisations to support landscape planning and construction. A notable project in her portfolio is Northampton Market Square, where she contributed from concept design through to detailed technical stages and delivery.
Highly proficient in REVIT, AutoCAD, Lumion, and the Adobe Creative Suite, Yingming specialises in producing compelling 3D models, conceptual visuals, and construction-level documentation.
In 2025 she became a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI).
