Sissy's bio
Sissy is an accomplished landscape architect and design project manager with over 15 years' experience working across China and the Middle East. She specialises in delivering experience-orientated, memorable landscapes for high-end hospitality projects and high-density ultra-luxury residential schemes.
Before joining Gillespies' Oxford studio in 2015, Sissy worked at several leading landscape design consultancies in Dubai and Shanghai and as an internal design project manager for a prominent private developer, where she gained invaluable client-side experience.
Sissy works closely with junior design staff to ensure the level and quality of the concept design to the detailed design is maintained across projects and meets project deliverables and programmes. Key projects include landscape design for a flagship new community in Tilal Al Ghaf that will set a benchmark in community living standards within the MENA region, and several ultra-modern residential developments in Dubai and major hospitality masterplans across Saudi Arabia.
Most recently, she led the design of an innovative hiking trails development in Saudi Arabia, conceived to fully immerse visitors in an interactive natural landscape. The project integrates landscape architecture with smart technology and experiential design, creating a distinctive, sensory led hiking experience that enhances engagement with the surrounding environment.
Sissy is passionate about the power landscape can have in breaking down social barriers and facilitating happiness, wellness and connectivity.
