Maria's bio
Maria is a Landscape Architect with experience in the design and delivery of public realm schemes across Europe and London. Her approach to design focuses on creating compelling environments where humans and nature can coexist. Her background in Product Design contributes to Maria’s understanding of challenges of cities at every scale, from designed products through to buildings and landscapes.
Since joining Gillespies, Maria has worked on a number of public realm and private landscapes for mixed-use, residential and commercial schemes in and around London, and has gained experience working at all stages of project from concept through to delivery.
Prior to joining Gillespies, Maria worked in Zurich and London for VOGT, and later for Anton.LA in Zurich, where she gained experience working on the concept, planning and delivery of projects as well as international competitions. Her key project experience included the public realm for the Olympic Athletes’ Villages for the London 2012 Olympics, the green roof of BBVA Bank Headquarters in Madrid and the landscape design of Pfingstweidpark in Zurich.
