Gillespies appoints Janet Didcock as Finance Director, as Tim Postlewaite retires
After a long and distinguished career, Gillespies’ Finance Director, Tim Postlethwaite, has decided to retire. Janet Didcock has succeeded Tim as Finance Director, effective immediately.
Jim Diggle, Managing Partner of Gillespies, commented: “Tim has been instrumental in guiding Gillespies to a strong financial position over the past eight years, navigating challenging markets and a global pandemic. We extend our deepest gratitude for his dedication and outstanding contributions to the practice, and we wish him a fulfilling, well-deserved retirement and every success in the next chapter of his life.”
Janet Didcock joined Gillespies in 2017 as Finance Manager and was promoted to Financial Controller three years later. In that role, she led a four-person finance team and managed all financial operations, including the practice’s financial system—contributing significantly to Gillespies' growth and operational success.
With nearly 30 years of financial experience across marketing and advertising, logistics, debt financing, and property industries, Janet brings a robust background in financial strategy and management.
In the new position as Financial Director, Janet will provide strategic financial leadership, driving business financing initiatives and decision-making to ensure continued commercial success.
Janet commented on the promotion, saying: “I am thrilled to step up into this role and continue working closely with the partners and the wider senior management team. I look forward to building on our strong financial foundations and contributing to the next phase of the firm's exciting growth plans.”
