Brent Cross Town Plot 1 has gained planning approval

Members of Barnet Council voted unanimously in favour of the proposal for Brent Cross Town plot 1. This is testament to the quality of the work produced by the team.

The gateway site is located at the heart of the new commercial hub for Brent Cross Town. The project centres on a new square leading to the station, which will facilitate movement between rail and bus services, and provide good pedestrian and cyclist links to the heart of the new town centre.

The architecture will benefit from carefully coordinated planting on terraces and a biodiverse roof. New street planting selected for suitability to the urban environment, climate resilience and biodiversity, will enhance the wider development area.

The scheme will be an exemplar for green infrastructure, demonstrating best practice urban greening, biodiversity enhancement and public amenity opportunities. It aligns with Barnet Council’s vision to make the area animated, inclusive, verdant and climate resilient.

Brent Cross Town is a joint venture between Related Argent and Barnet Council to develop a large-scale mixed-use development including new homes, retail and office space, as well as improved schools and greenspaces in the area. Brent Cross Town Plot 1 achieved planning approval from Barnet Council on 6 October 2022.
