Bradford Mirror Pool City Park wins planning approval

The Bradford Mirror Pool City Park project has yesterday received detailed planning permission from the council.

Designed by Gillespies and spearheaded by Bradford Centre Regeneration and Bradford City Council, the proposals include the creation of a ‘mirror pool’ with infrastructure to hold major public events beside the Grade I listed City Hall. An office-led mixed-use complex, known as the Business Forest, is also planned within the 10 acre scheme.

The project has enjoyed great public support from the outset with 31,000 people across the region choosing to ‘back the bid’. The £30 million project is currently competing with 22 other cities across the UK for the Big Lottery Fund’s Living Landmarks grant.
