Scarlett's bio
Scarlett is a passionate Landscape Architect who pushes the design boundaries to create exceptional spaces. With a deep understanding of landscape design and a strategic approach to managing risks and opportunities, she excels in delivering high-quality projects.
Her work is rooted in a genuine interest in the relationship between people and their environments, and how public spaces can shape social norms. Scarlett is particularly focused on the social benefits of Landscape Architecture—whether promoting wellbeing, supporting community events, or bringing nature closer through thoughtful planting design.
Having delivered numerous award-winning projects across the UK, Scarlett is currently leading the landscape design for the final phase of Stockport Exchange. This transformative development will introduce 60,000 sq ft of modern office space, alongside a revitalised public realm. Expanding the Stockport neighbourhood towards the A6, it will feature a vibrant new public square that connects the town centre to the surrounding area, offering both enhanced green spaces and improved pedestrian connectivity. She is also overseeing the revitalisation of Ashton-in-Makerfield’s market square and high street, following a successful Levelling Up Fund bid.
Alongside her professional work, Scarlett is committed to advancing the profession, dedicating her time to mentoring junior team members and supporting the Humanitarian Landscape Collective, a charity advancing resilient design in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities. Scarlett also sits on the Landscape Institute's Policy and Affairs Standing Committee, advising on planning reform and environmental legislation.
