Andreea's bio
Andreea is a Graduate Landscape Architect and Part I Architecture Graduate with two years of experience in landscape architecture.
She first joined Gillespies as an Assistant during her postgraduate studies, now returning to the studio upon graduating from The Manchester School of Architecture. As a passionate and meticulous designer, Andreea is particularly interested in contextual, user-centred design with a strong focus on sustainability, biodiversity, and adaptability. With a background in architecture, she brings a well-rounded perspective and a keen interest in heritage, alternative solutions, and resilient design. Since re-joining Gillespies, she has contributed to a range of diverse projects across multiple RIBA stages.
Andreea is highly skilled in graphics and visualisation, believing that capturing the atmosphere of a place is essential to communicating and understanding a concept. This aligns with her commitment to designing spaces where both people and nature can thrive. She supports the studio across a variety of media and is proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modelling and rendering software.
Andreea is currently leading the concept landscape design for Belfast Stories, a landmark £100 million development that will deliver a vibrant public space, visitor attraction, and creative hub in the heart of Belfast. She is also part of the team redesigning Broadfield Slopes in Rochdale and contributing to a series of high-profile projects in Saudi Arabia.
