Stockport Exchange shortlisted for Building of the Year at the 2017 GM Chamber Awards

Stockport Exchange has been shortlisted for the Building of the Year Award at the 2017 GM Chamber Awards. The award recognises a building’s contribution to Greater Manchester in terms of construction and development.

A joint venture between Muse Developments and Stockport Council, Stockport Exchange is the second phase of the £145m Stockport Exchange project, a major mixed-use regeneration scheme located next to Stockport train station. 

Gillespies delivered a high-quality public realm that has completely transformed an under-used space into a fitting and memorable gateway for the town, redefining the pedestrian route to the town centre as a grand formal boulevard. 

The winners will be announced on Thursday 19th October at the GM Chamber Property & Construction Annual Dinner and Awards.
