Port Sunlight River Park shortlisted for a 2017 Landscape Institute Award

Port Sunlight River Park has been shortlisted for a Landscape Institute Award in the category of Adding Value through Landscape. The award recognises projects where landscape design has been the driver of improved cultural, social, economic or learning benefits to a community or business.

Gillespies has transformed what was once a closed landfill site into a significant 28-hectare park and wildlife haven. The park provides a popular community space with an array of walkways, picnic spots, wildlife, wildflowers and wetland areas.

The winners will be announced at an award ceremony on Thursday 23 November 2017 at The Brewery, London.
