New Scotland Yard wins Project of the Year at the 2017 Building Awards
New Scotland Yard has scooped yet another award. The new home for the Metropolitan Police was named Project of the Year Award at the Building Awards, which is run by Building Magazine and recognises projects across the construction industry. Gillespies delivered a distinctive, striped public realm that creates a welcoming face for the new headquarters. Since its completion back in December 2016, the project – designed by architects AHMM - has won a number of prestigious awards including an AJ Retrofit Award, RIBA National Award and the Prime Minister’s Best Public Building at the 2017 BCI Awards.
