After completing his MA degree in Landscape Architecture at Edinburgh College of Art, Neil started his career at Netherlands-based landscape architectural practice OKRA Landschapsarchitecten, before joining Churchman Landscape Architects and subsequently Gillespies in 2007.
With a passion for well-designed public spaces, Neil has developed a strong grounding in the design of public realm schemes, with a particular focus on major transport interchanges, town centre regenerations and landscape visions to transform towns and cities, working with multi-disciplinary teams and a wide range of stakeholders, to deliver complex, transformative schemes.
Recently, Neil has led the high profile regeneration of Bracknell Town Centre into a new retail and leisure destination. He is currently working on Elephant Park, the regeneration of the Heygate Estate in Elephant and Castle into a mixed-use new sustainable community together with the creation of a new Central London park.
Alongside his landscape design expertise, Neil’s creativity in producing strong graphics and a flair for visual communication has been essential to the successful development of these projects.
