Our strategic masterplan and design for Salarievo is inspired by the sites naturalistic ‘forest’ setting, creating a green and healthy neighbourhood that encourages and facilitates walking, cycling, play and social interaction. Residents’ well-being has been central to our designs, which include neighbourhood parks, a boulevard and semi-private courtyards for residents that incorporate a diverse range of spaces from family gardens, lawns, sensory gardens, exercise areas and playability.

A green and walk-able boulevard – surrounded by active frontages and interspersed with a series of public spaces – defines and connects the site from north to south, creating six distinct neighbourhoods that are each defined by three linear parks. The linear parks incorporate playable spaces and are designed to be overlooked and defined by the surrounding built form. Each neighbourhood contains schools and kindergartens, orientated towards the public spaces and the Boulevard to establish a clear hierarchy of public spaces and to create a strong sense of community.

Following our strategic design approach for the delivery of the Phase 1 area, local play specialists AFA Group delivered an exciting and bespoke play hub (The Origami Play) that gives children the opportunity to play and engage with a different range of facilities and naturalistic elements such as planting, water and sand.

Salarievo is part of a collection of landscape-led residential projects by PIK Group that illustrate how high-quality, well-planned landscapes can help improve people’s quality of life.
