Discovery Park is a new mixed-use development with residential, retail and commercial offerings in northwest Moscow, close to the leafy Khimki Forest Park for client MR Group. Aimed at providing an attractive, lifestyle-driven environment, four towers rise high above a shared amenity podium landscape designed by Gillespies.
The landscaped podium is formed of a sequence of continuous open green spaces that flow around and between the towers, establishing a walkable neighbourhood for residents to explore and a variety of attractive garden spaces and courtyards to relax, play and socialise within. The landscape has been designed as a large garden, where residents can connect with each other and nature.
Accessed off the main circulation route, a series of distinctive ‘landscape rooms’ provide seating areas, play facilities and generous open lawn and courtyard spaces where residents can socialise, exercise, host small gatherings, and relax within a unique, attractive and safe setting overlooked by neighbouring homes.
The podium landscape echoes the nearby ecological parkland, characterised by an abundance of evergreen trees, structural landscapes, and banks of seasonal native planting that will ensure year-round interest, especially during the winter months.
A high-quality, tree-lined boulevard marks the street frontage and frames the arrival space of the development. Semi-public, generously landscaped open spaces wrap around the development at ground level, providing access to a private Kindergarten area and a semi-open play and exercise areas for the residents and connections to surrounding green spaces and nearby transport nodes.
Discovery Park will become a vibrant new community and retail hub, animating this part of the city.
