Tianyu's bio
Tianyu is a Graduate Landscape Architect who joined Gillespies in 2024. Originally from Beijing, he graduated with distinction from the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), where he gained hands-on experience in the restoration department of The Palace Museum. His graduation project earned the Outstanding Graduation Design Award, leading to a role at CAUPD, contributing to planning efforts in the Yangtze River Delta Region.
Tianyu then pursued a master’s at the Bartlett School of Architecture, focusing on landscape detailing, technical design, and data visualisation. His graduation project received high praise, and he has since developed a passion for sustainable design and material experimentation.
Since joining Gillespies, Tianyu has played a key role in delivering concept designs for several major inner-city residential and mixed-use projects. Notable contributions include the regeneration of Shoreditch Works in London’s dynamic business hub, Park Royal Road, and the fourth phase of King’s Road Park in Fulham, which will introduce 9 acres of new parkland and public open space to the area.
