Samantha's bio
A Chartered Landscape Architect with over 25 years of experience, Samantha leads Gillespies’ Landscape Planning team in the South region. With a background spanning both public and private sectors, Samantha has built a diverse portfolio across a wide range of project types and scales — from large-scale urban extensions and town centre regeneration schemes to smaller public realm and open space enhancements.
Samantha has a particular interest in the intersection between planning and placemaking.
Her core expertise lies in delivering Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) and Townscape and Visual Impact Assessments (TVIA) for residential and mixed-use schemes, as well as complex infrastructure and development projects — including cross-national energy infrastructure, renewable energy, energy from waste facilities and business parks. She also has a strong expertise in the planning and design of public open spaces, educational campuses, and recreational environments; her qualifications in Urban Design affords Samantha with a strong working knowledge of masterplanning and the evolving needs of urban versus rural landscapes.
