Monika's bio

Monika joined Gillespies at the beginning of 2020 after graduating with a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from The Kracow University of Technology. 

Monika is a highly skilled and enthusiastic senior designer whose expertise lies in designing landscapes and public realms for large-scale residential, commercial, and tourism-related projects across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. Hailing from Poland, Monika is driven by a passion for designing human-scaled spaces that are environmentally responsible, seamlessly blending natural elements with cultural and historical contexts. She is skilled in both design and documentation delivery, with a pragmatic focus on quality detailing. 

Most recently, Monika has been involved in the design of various projects in the Middle-East, including assisting on an International Competition to create a Conceptual Masterplan and propose an Architectural Identity for a new Centre of Government in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as well as  assisting the landscape design team to deliver the Urban transformation of a significant historic site in Saudi Arabia.

She is currently assisting on the landscape masterplan and design for a new Film Studios in Buckinghamshire,  and additionally supporting the delivery of the Oxpens Masterplan design codes, for a new sustainable, low carbon, mixed-use neighbourhood and innovation district for Oxford, which will open up the riverside to create a distinctive public space for everyone to enjoy.
