Jon's bio
Jon is a Chartered Landscape Architect with over 23 years’ experience in public realm and landscape design, leading projects from concept through to delivery and on-site implementation. Based in Gillespies’ Leeds studio, he has developed extensive expertise across commercial, residential, cultural, and heritage landscapes, with a strong reputation for design coordination and project delivery.
Jon has managed and delivered a wide range of landscape architecture and public realm projects across the UK, including the award-winning Piece Hall restoration in Halifax, Rochdale Town Hall, and the landscape design for RHS Garden Harlow Carr and RHS Garden Bridgewater, one of Europe’s largest gardening projects.
Passionate about high-quality, design-led outcomes, Jon specialises in creating distinctive, functional, and enduring spaces that reflect their context and meet client aspirations. His hands-on approach to construction and detailing ensures every project is delivered to the highest standard.
Promoted to Associate in 2025, Jon continues to play a key role in the delivery of complex public realm and landscape projects across the North of England.
