
Busra's bio
Busra is a Senior Landscape Architect and Urban Designer with a focus on promoting healthy, balanced lifestyles in diverse landscapes, from urban to natural and cultural settings.
After earning her Master’s in Landscape Architecture from the Technical University of Catalunya, Barcelona, where she specialised in green spaces, waterscapes, and tourism, Busra returned to Turkey. There, she worked on a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, and urban developments, with a strong emphasis on landscape ecology. Her work has been recognised with several national and international awards.
She completed a second Master’s in Urban Design at Istanbul Technical University in 2018 and presented at the ATLAS Cultural Tourism Research Group in Barcelona and the 26th Urban Design Symposium in Istanbul.
In 2019, Busra relocated to London and joined Gillespies, where she has contributed to the regeneration of the Heygate Estate in Elephant Park into a vibrant green neighbourhood, focusing on sustainable, community-driven design.
Busra leads Gillespies' London social team, championing the celebration of cultural events throughout the year to foster a vibrant and inclusive practice.
