Adam's bio
Adam Knight is a Senior Landscape Architect in Gillespies' London studio, specialising in planting design and the creation of climate-resilient urban landscapes. He plays a central role in the practice’s planting team, applying his expertise to enhance the public realm across both UK and international landscape architecture projects.
With a BSc (Hons) in Landscape Architecture and hands-on experience at RHS Wisley and The Beth Chatto Gardens, Adam brings a solid understanding of species selection, planting strategies, and long-term maintenance. His skills in planting implementation ensure schemes continue to thrive as part of sustainable, high-performing environments.
Adam’s experience spans large-scale commercial and mixed-use developments as well as smaller retail landscapes, where he combines technical delivery with strong visual communication, including 3D modelling and CAD. Key projects include the Kensington Building, a retrofit project in Kensington that integrates nature into a wellbeing-led workplace; Thames City, a major mixed-use scheme featuring podium gardens, courtyards, and a linear park, and The Henderson Art Garden in Kowloon, Hong Kong, where Adam has overseen the delivery of a major public realm plaza.
