The British Museum World Conservation and Exhibitions Centre makes the 2017 Stirling Prize shortlist

The RSHP-designed extension for the British Museum is one of six buildings shortlisted for architecture’s most prestigious accolade.

Gillespies is proud to have been involved in this exciting project, creating an elegant, landscaped courtyard that offers an extension to the museum's internal spaces. The courtyard provides a distinctive, yet naturalistic setting, where visitors can relax and retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.

This year’s shortlist includes:

  • Barrett’s Grove, Stoke Newington by Groupwork and Amin Taha
  • British Museum World Conservation and Exhibitions Centre by Roger Stirk Harbour + Partners
  • Command of the Oceans by Baynes and Mitchell Architects
  • City of Glasgow College City Campus by Reiach & Hall Architects and Michael Laird ARCHITECTS
  • Hastings Pier by drMM Architects
  • Photography Studio for Juergen Teller by 6a Architects

The winner will be announced by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) on Tuesday 31st October at the Roundhouse, London.
