St Helen’s Square officially opens

St Helen’s Square was officially opened on Monday (11 June 2018) with a public celebration in the newly refurbished piazza that sits at the foot of the RSHP-designed Leadenhall Building.

The special opening event was hosted by clients Aviva, British Land and City of London, welcoming guests from the design team, surrounding buildings and passers-by.

Gillespies were the lead designer on the reinvention of St Helen’s Square, which at 3,325 square metres is the third largest open space in London. The square provides a vibrant and contemporary destination for people to visit and enjoy; a place where they can take a moment to sit down, relax and enjoy the cities iconic architecture.
