Shortlist Success at the 2024 World Landscape Architecture Awards

Two of Gillespies’ projects have been shortlisted in the 2024 World Landscape Architecture Awards (WLA), an international award of excellence in landscape architecture.

South Hill St. Helier, a finalist in the Conceptual Residential category, transforms the former Government of Jersey Planning offices, nestled within a former quarry landscape, into an extraordinary residential community of 139 homes. The project, undertaken by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios for the Jersey Development Company, embraces and emulates the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape, creating a powerful identity and a true sense of place.

The Park at Elephant Park, shortlisted in the Built Landscape Design category, is the vibrant centrepiece of Elephant Park, the regeneration of Elephant and Castle by Lendlease. Spanning two acres, it is a thriving, inclusive hub boasting mature trees, expansive lawns, intimate seating areas, winding walkways immersed in nature, and the iconic water feature, Elephant Springs. The Park is a much-loved green oasis in London’s Zone One, where the local community can relax, play, exercise, and socialise.

Winners will be announced on 11th June. You can view the full shortlist on the WLA website
