Residents vote in favour of Convent Way Estate transformation plans
Following a public ballot, 80% of residents have voted in favour of the London Borough of Hounslow’s comprehensive plans to regenerate Convent Way Estate.
Gillespies is delighted to be working alongside Bell Phillips Architects to deliver public realm and landscape proposals for the scheme, which will comprise around 1,000 sustainable homes, new shops and community facilities, and much improved public realm and landscaping, including new parks and the revitalisation of the existing sports and open spaces.
The endorsed designs will significantly improve the environment for everyone by creating a green and healthy new community with plenty of meaningful and vibrant open and green public spaces where the existing and emerging community can play, socialise, exercise and relax.
Following the positive result of the vote, the development will proceed to detailed design, planning and phased construction over the coming years.
