Commenting on this recognition for Bradford's City Park, Tom Walker, Partner at Gillespies who led the design team says:

"Eight months on from completion, this magnificent public space is delighting both local people and visitors to Bradford.  One of the key aims of the project was to reinvigorate Bradford's city centre, and for the new public space to act as a catalyst for bringing in new investment.

Over the past months the new space has drawn in thousands of visitors to the city, hosting a wide range of events by day and night.  People are delighted by the displays of water and light, and the unique circular design of City Park acts as a natural gathering point."
