Port Sunlight River Park shortlisted for the Environmental and Health Project Award at the Echo Environment Awards

This popular community park and wetland in Port Sunlight Village, Wirral, has been shortlisted for the Environmental and Health Project award at the Echo Environment awards run by Liverpool Echo in association with Merseyrail. The awards recognise the many green projects and initiatives underway in Merseyside.

Port Sunlight River Park is a 30 hectare wildlife haven and community park reclaimed from a former landfill site with a 37m high hill offering unrivalled views across the Mersey and Wirral Estuary, and nearly 3 miles of winding footpaths.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony on April 27 at the Isla Gladstone Conservatory in Stanley Park, Anfield.
