Planning submitted for Bevan Place, Swanley

Gillespies has supported Bell Philips Architects in submitting a planning application for Bevan Place, an exemplar development for Sevenoaks District Council that will transform the former Swanley Working Men’s Club site and Bevan Place car park into a contemporary 93-home residential scheme. At the centre of the development, we have designed a new publicly accessible communal garden that will deliver a green oasis for the community with a large lawn area, flowering trees and opportunities for play.

The streetscapes along Bevan Place and Goldsel Road will also be enhanced through tree planting and the addition of a wide defensible green zone along Goldsel Road. A sun-soaked rooftop garden will provide residents with smaller contemplative spaces and south-facing views of the Kent countryside.

The development will establish a strong identity at this key gateway location within the Swanley Town Centre.
