New Distillery for The Macallan gets planning go-ahead

A 100mGBP Speyside distillery and visitor centre designed by RSHP architects for The Macallan has been granted planning permission by The Moray Council.

Gillespies is the landscape design on the project.

Featuring a rolling green roofscape to marry with a new landscape, the expanded plant is required to meet anticipated future capacity whilst providing the latest equipment to ensure the on-going quality control of the whisky whilst complementing the surrounding Macallan estate.

Work on site is expected to commence this October.
