Gillespies relocates to central Manchester studio after 40 years in Altrincham
Leading landscape architecture, masterplanning, and landscape planning consultancy Gillespies is pleased to announce its relocation to a new studio in the heart of Manchester city centre, following 40 successful years in Altrincham and Hale. With views across the city centre the team has taken a studio on the fifth floor at Northspring, 70 Spring Gardens.
The decision to relocate to Manchester was driven by a desire to offer better access for our clients, co-consultants, and team. Situated in a prominent central location, the new office improves our ability to serve our growing client base and strengthens our presence within the city. With excellent transport links it also encourages the use of public transport, supporting our staff in reducing their personal carbon footprint and aligning with our plans to be a Net Zero business by 2040.
The new office, featuring an in-house gym, cycle storage, shared meeting rooms and collaboration spaces including a rooftop terrace, provides our team with wellness amenities, accessing fresh air and opportunities for collaboration.
Jim Gibson, Regional Partner who heads up Gillespies' Manchester studio, said; "We're thrilled to be in a shared workspace alongside other leading firms and look forward to taking advantage of the building’s amenities and the wider opportunities of such a central location. Our new base deepens our long association with the City we’ve have the privilege to help shape, and will enhance our ability to attract and retain creative talent, all while supporting our commitment to a more sustainable future.”
Gillespies’ Manchester team comprises professionals with expertise in public realm design, landscape and urban design, masterplanning and landscape planning. Gillespies is one of the cities longest established landscape practices and across those many years have had the privilege to help shape the urban regeneration and renaissance of the city they are proud to call home.
