Gillespies lead public consultations for 10,000-home garden village in Carlisle

Gillespies took part in a public consultation to talk about the creation of Carlisle’s “garden village” – a project which will see 10,000 new homes built in the southern side of the city as part of an ambitious housing and development growth agenda. The 30-year project is one of 14 such schemes being backed by the government nationally.

Gillespies are leading the masterplanning process for the design of St Cuthbert’s Village, working closely with design champion Wayne Hemingway of Hemingway Design, to develop an ambitious vision and concept for the St Cuthbert’s area.

The team also held a visioning workshop for the stakeholders at Carlisle Racecourse.
