Gillespies joins Accelerate to boost diversity in landscape architecture.

Gillespies has joined Open City’s Accelerate 2021/22 Mentorship Programme, a pioneering design, education and mentoring programme aimed at helping 16 to 18 years old from under-represented and disadvantaged backgrounds pursue a career in architecture, landscape design and engineering.

Our team of landscape architects will mentor students, taking part in a series of workshops to help build their confidence, develop design skills, industry connections and outstanding portfolios in preparation for making strong applications to study landscape architecture and other built environment courses at university.

Over the last decade, hundreds of students have taken part in the programme, with 70% of Accelerate participants securing conditional offers to study architecture and related subjects at university.
