Civic Trust announce the shortlist tor their 2008 awards

Two of Gillespies’ projects have been shortlisted for this year's Civic Trust awards. St George’s Square in Luton and the Welsh Assembly in Cardiff are both in line for an award.

The Civic Trust awards aim to encourage projects that are culturally, socially or economically beneficial, and make an outstanding contribution to the quality and appearance of the environment. They are amongst the most widely recognised of the national regeneration awards. Thirty accolades in all will be handed out at a celebratory evening dinner on the 12th of March at the Civic Centre in Newcastle.

If St George’s Square wins, it will be the third such recognition for the square since its completion in mid-2007.
