Bradford unveils ambitious final designs for City Park

The stunning final designs to create a world-class Park at the Heart of Bradford city centre have been unveiled following a six-week long consultation process.

The designs, created by Gillespies, will be submitted by Bradford Metropolitan District Council and Bradford Centre Regeneration to the Big Lottery Fund at the end of May, in a bid to secure a £24.5 million grant towards the £30m total project costs.

There is strong local support for the project which features a mirror pool as the park’s centrepiece and includes infrastructure to hold major public events beside the Grade I – listed City Hall. An office-led mixed-use complex, known as the Business Forest, is also planned within the 10 acre scheme and is yet to come to the market.
