BBC Television Centre redevelopment to include public realm design by Gillespies
New images have just been released of the overhaul of the Grade II-listed, 1950s BBC Television Centre in Shepherd's Bush, west London.
The new landmark development by Stanhope will include offices, studio space for the BBC, leisure facilities, a hotel and 1,000 new homes. It will see the famous BBC Television Centre forecourt remodeled to include shops, leisure and entertainment - opening it up to the public for the first time.
The exciting proposals for this well-known site include an inviting new public realm being designed by Gillespies. Alongside attractive green spaces, the proposed designs will open-up the site and the iconic buildings within it.
Gillespies are part of the team led by AHMM architects, and also including Duggan Morris, HOK and Maccreanor Lavington.
