Armel Mourgue to speak at the City of Cape Town’s Open Space Working Group on water-sensitive design

On Friday 12, August, Gillespies’ Partner Armel Mourgue is set to speak at the City of Cape Town’s Open Space Working Group. The working group has been established to support the Government in unlocking issues to enable better public space provision in the city and to support the City in improving water security after narrowly avoiding ‘day zero’.

In this third session, which focuses on water resilience and open space design, Armel Mourgue will present Gillespies’ work at Elephant Park, the landmark regeneration of Elephant and Castle into a highly sustainable neighbourhood and one of London’s greenest places to live.

Armel will share insights on how water-sensitive design has been intelligently incorporated into Elephant Park to address urban pressures and combat climate change.
