Masterplanner / Urban Designer - Manchester and Leeds, UK - Permanent full-time role plus hybrid working

Gillespies is seeking a talented and creative masterplanner/ urban designer to become part of the Gillespies' Northern team, working on exciting projects with great clients. We are a well-regarded urban design, landscape architecture and landscape planning practice with offices in Greater Manchester, Leeds, Oxford and London. Our portfolio includes several masterplan frameworks and design codes for Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, Northallerton Future High Street Fund Masterplan and Metrogreen Area Action Plan Gateshead – a balance of best-practice housing, town centre, public realm and community projects for both public and private sector clients.

Our immediate requirement is for an urban designer with excellent design, writing and communication skills. Creative design thinking should be supported by technical design production capabilities. An eye for quality is key, as is an understanding of place-making in its planning, landscape and development context. Ideally, you will have 2 - 3 years' experience but we are happy to explore how we might develop a role to suit excellent candidates.
