View project intro

The initial brief sought to draw distinction from the surrounding residential quarters of the Dubai Creek Masterplan and create a unique district that drew inspiration from the post-industrial gentrification projects of London and New York.

The landscape approach was one of integration and placemaking, creating a rich “out-of-Dubai” experience marketed to a youthful user and investor group that consciously broke the mould of typical Dubai residential development.

At its core sits a grand open events lawn, flanked by an interactive ‘Urban River’ that forms a strong axial connection from the rear plots of the district to the shoreline plots along the Dubai Creek. The large grand lawn is seen as the social and wellness space, strategically located as the stage to the Emaar branded hotel asset Veda Hotel.
