Located on the eastern side of Saadiyat Island, a monumental waterfront park will successfully connect and unite several key cultural destinations including the world-famous Louvre and Guggenheim Museums — turning the capital of the United Arab Emirates into a global cultural hub.
The park design by Gillespies captures the green ambitions and majestic grandeur contained within the City’s 2030 Vision, and describe a new relationship with the surrounding waters.
A new scenic promenade will scribe a new dynamic relationship with the sea, in places dipping to meet the water, in others rising over water for an exhilarating panoramic experience. The design proposals emphasise the scale and beauty of not only the buildings but also the western horizon at the promontory of this new coastline. They will complement and extend the cultural draw of the area, providing a stimulating and varied experience for all.
