Yue Zou is a passionate, motivated and experienced landscape architect with a degree in structural engineering and a Master’s in Landscape Architecture. Her unique background provides her with a broad understanding of the technical and aesthetic aspects of design and construction, which will help the team provide comprehensive engineered strategies and solutions. She is also skilled and certified in BIM.
Yue has a strong portfolio that ranges from public realm and landscape design for large-scale waterfronts and strategic urban regeneration frameworks to major railway infrastructure. These projects have been benefited from her exceptional attention to detail and unique design solutions that ensure attractive, robust and long-lasting results.
Before joining Gillespies, Yue worked for several large multi-disciplinary design consultancies, where she gained substantial experience in project management and procurement procedures. During this time, she worked on a range of high-profile projects, including the Titanic Quarter in Belfast, one of the largest urban waterfront regeneration projects in Europe and the £600m overhaul of Birmingham New Street station to greatly increase passenger capacity.
Since joining Gillespies in 2021, Yue has been instrumental in designing several major new public open spaces as part of the transformation of North Manchester General Hospital (NMGH).
