After graduating from Cumbria Institute of Arts as a graphic designer, Stuart Postlethwaite underwent a postgraduate diploma in Landscape Architecture at Leeds Metropolitan University, where he graduated with distinction.
Stuart joined Gillespies’ Leeds studio in 2013 following five years at The Landscape Agency, a private practice in York, where he gained experience on a wide range of projects from small private schemes to large public realm and landscape masterplanning project.
During his time at Gillespies, Stuart has been responsible for many aspects of projects including management, stakeholder consultation, design, graphics, planning and detailing which he has applied to a number of high-profile and often complex projects. His technical experience combined with his excellent graphics skills and passion for design makes him an innovative designer of public realm schemes and is considered a key member of the design team.
Currently, Stuart is working on the development of a new commercial quarter in the heart of Leeds for developer MEPC and Bridge Street Quarter in Warrington, a significant retail-led regeneration project for Warrington Borough Council.
