Oliver is a chartered landscape architect with 20 years’ experience of design and implementation across a diverse range of spaces and sectors in the UK, Russia, Europe, the Far East, Middle East and USA.
With a particular interest in the creation of sustainable, beautifully designed places, Oliver has delivered many unique landscapes in the UK and internationally. At the centre of his design approach is an interest in the relationship between people and nature, and in particular how to cultivate this relationship in urban environments — a principle that resonates with the new era where the relationship we have with our open spaces and buildings is changing forever. Oliver is passionate about creating landscapes that reconnect us with one another and the external environment, restoring vitality, promoting well-being and fostering joy in the places we share.
Oliver’s UK experience ranges from historic public realm regeneration to the delivery of green campus environments for offices and educational institutions. More recent schemes include a new headquarters for Dyson, a high-quality public realm for Westgate Oxford, a major retail-led mixed-use development in the heart of Oxford City Centre, and The Forge, a ground-breaking net-zero development in London. His international experience includes the world’s first zero carbon, zero waste city in Abu Dhabi, and award winning residential development in Moscow.
