Mathew Cockburn
Principal
Mathew is a Principal Architectural Technologist in Gillespies’ Leeds studio. Since joining Gillespies in 2012, Mathew has acted as a design project manager on both architecture and urban design commissions across the UK. His experience covers a number of different sectors including education, hospitality, residential, commercial and masterplanning.
Mathew brings a creative and analytical approach to all aspects of architectural design and masterplanning and has the ability to tackle issues on both the micro and macro scale, ensuring pragmatic yet innovative solutions.
Mathew has a track record of designing and delivering a number of heritage, including the refurbishment of listed buildings, heritage lottery-funded parks and supplemental design guides for local authorities, focusing on shopfront design.
